I love this area!

Hey everyone!  I'm alive lol.

Elder Jones is sick and I'm just getting over being sick so now is a good time to send out one of these.

Well A TON has happened these past few months.  Where to start?  I'm still in North Cascades with Elder Jones and the work is still going strong.  Lots of people to find, teach, and fellowship with.  We put 2 people on date and are thinking of 2 more.  Donna has a date for June 14th.  She is just the sweetest southern lady I have ever met.  Apparently a few days we put her on date some baptists knocked on her door asking about a survey.  She knew exactly what their intentions were so she said "I'm with the mormon church!" "God bless ya!" and slams the door lol.
One day when we were over she told us something that had happened to her a few months ago on valentines day.  She was sick that day just sitting in her recliner when all of a sudden a bright light appeared.  What she saw I will never forget.  She saw a man with white hair in long white robes carrying a bouquet of flowers.  He said one thing to her: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is where she belonged.  He then disappeared.  Aftering Donna told us that we were beyond amazed.  We told her that's probably a sign God was looking out for her so he sent a heavenly messenger.

Then there's Caleb.  We haven't been able to have an official lesson with him but he has expressed multiple times he wants to get baptized.  One thing he likes about the church is the family units of wards.  I couldn't agree more with him.  He has a date for June 1st but that will likely get pushed off.

Ray is doing good.  He is hung up on two things with the church.  1. Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and  2. only members can go inside the temple.  It's been a very slow process but slow and steady wins the race.  We decided to introduce him to a senior couple that we share the ward with and that has helped out a lot.

Speaking of wards, we now cover 2 wards.  Honestly the combination of the Bow Hill ward and North Cascades ward is so fun but so much work.  Literally something like 85% of our missionary work is with non-members.  Basically we cover a whole entire county that spans 1 1/2 hour drive from the ocean all the way up into the canyon.  It's very beautiful up here now especially since its spring rolling into the summer.

Well that's everything I got.
Random thought: Living on your own has some perks.  Yesterday I bought a half gallon of tillamook ice cream.  Its all mine😆

Spiritual thought: John 1:17
"For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." I love because it is simple truth.  Even though we don't follow the law of Moses which was later fulfilled by Christ.  We can receive truth because his words are in the scriptures. We can receive grace because he suffered for our sins.

Have a great rest of your week!
