week 2

Hello everybody!! 

This week has been very up and down so I'll give yall a small rundown. 

Our friend Kristina came to Sunday school today which is arguably the best thing that has happened in my area for the past few months overall (including when I'm not here). She's been watching online sacrament meeting for 4 months so this is a big step.  

This week Elder Lessig and I have decided to drop all our 'friends' except for Kristina of course. There are A LOT of service abusers in this area who have not made any progress for at least half a year. We found a few neighborhoods on Google maps we are going to knock on for the coming days so I'm praying that we will find people to teach.  

I finally found a frog and another frog. My companion found the first one and a member gave us the second one and we named it Beyonce.  We made a little home for it in our apartment.🐸

Random thought: I like birds 

Spiritual thought: 2 Nephi 2:26

"And the Messiah cometh in the fullness of time, that he may redeem the children of men from the fall. And because that they are redeemed from the fall they have become free forever, knowing good from evil; to act for themselves and not to be acted upon, save it be by the punishment of the law at the great and last day, according to the commandments which God hath given." 

In a way I like to think of when the Messiah redeemed the children from the fall I think of the Atonement. Because that happened we have been redeemed and are able to repent.

week 1 in the field

 Hello everybody!! 

I have made it to the jungles of Washington lol.  My first zone is the everhomish zone.  Apparently this is the booney area but that's fine. There's a lot of strong members out here that are so cool. We are able to get fed by both members and non members, still warming up to that.  Also this is a hard area since it's mostly service opportunities.

My trainers name is Elder Lessig from Layton Utah. He is super chill and likes to get the work done.  

My MTC comp's trainer is cousins with one of my friends who I'm related to actually so that's awesome.

For P-day we went to bricks and minifigs since they have custom lego missionaries but they were out and we will have to go next week. Gosh darn.  I think I started a tradition, so I got a few elders to buy these lego cars myself included, and we are thinking of about racing them. 

Random thought: Someday I will catch a frog and also a salamander since they are common up here

Spiritual thought: None (sorry I'm still processing getting used to being here)

Hello everyone!!

Sorry I wasn't able to email the last 2 weeks.  The MTC has been amazing and is coming to an end on Tuesday morning.  I will be flying out to Seattle 8:30 in the morning so thats fun (Sarcasm).  My companions name is Elder Rush and he is an absolute superstar. I'll be flying out to Washington with him since we are in the same mission. 

This keyboard is partially busted so I have to make this short.

Teaching appointments have been the best thing I have done so far and they've been so good.  The food is decent while the showers are not so decent.  

Every email I will try to have a random thought and a spiritual thought.  

Random thought: I have been working on impressions and different accents a LOT.  Mickey Mouse is my best impression by far.  As for accents, my australian is pretty .  

No spiritual thought for today, sorry.

I will take a pic of the ponder rooms here and include in next weeks email. They are so cool and also  a great place to study.
