transfers...

Hello everyone!

This is gonna be a short one.  Welcome to another week.

With my training coming to an end, Elder Lessig is leaving Machias and I'm staying. It will be a sad Wednesday for sure. I couldn't have asked for a better trainer.

This week we taught Sus a part of the plan of salvation. That went well.  Later in the week we went out into her pasture which is basically her backyard to gather big rocks for Kristina (she likes rocks in her gardens). Sus's horses, donkies, and ponies were hanging out with us.  Honestly it was cool since I've never been this close to either of those animals.

We went back to Larry's and talked about church history. Next time he wants to talk about the Book of Mormon.

Lastly, Kristina has had 28 good days in a row since her blessing over the phone. Then this past Sunday things fell apart. We meet up at a park and had milkshakes. She told us about what has happened and that we made her day better. At this point it's just important that we are there for her.

Love y'all and have a great week

golden neighborhood

Hello everybody! Welcome to another week. Sorry I didn't write last week, last p-day we went on a hike and were gone most of the day.

These past two weeks have been absolute fire.  Where to begin?

First off, we gave Sus a danish Book of Mormon. I wasn't there because of exchanges.  Elder Lessig said she got emotional and said she would totally read it.  We went back later last week and she said she forgot to read it.  That's a huge sign since she could have some interest in it.  Later we read the into with her and it went well.  We also played with her birds and I freakin loved it.

We also gave a Book of Mormon to Glenn and Candy.  Candy literally asked for one out of the blue. We went back the next day and read some of 2 Nephi with them.  Candy said she loves how simple and beautiful the words sound.  Not sure about Glenn though.  We are going to give them a bigger one since they have a hard time with the small words.

We went tracking and found a golden neighborhood.  We have like 6 return appointments and that is rare for this area.  We also gave out about 3 Book of Mormons.  We meet this guy named Larry.  At first he was just listening  to us very basically during the restoration.  Then while he was reading the promise at the end of the Book of Mormon I definitely felt the spirit. After he read it I can tell he perked up like it grabbed his attention.  We are going back some time next week.

Kristina came to sacrament meeting!!! Even better, this one lady in our ward talked about Christs healing power, which Kristina needed a LOT.  It was an absolute BOMB of a talk. Also, bishop happened to be speaking, Elder Lessig and I can't tell if he changed his talk or not and winged it on the plan of salvation since Kristina was there.

Random thought: There were 15 Porsches driving on the road, it was so cool to see that many. Kinda random but I just had to count

Spiritual thought: Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Love y'all and have a great week!!

a little home sick

Hey y'all!!            Sorry about last week. I forgot to send an email.

These past two weeks have been meh (not good or bad). We had a dutch dinner at Sus's and it was amaaaaaaaazzing!!! Pickled cucumber was absolutely delish.

We went out to Lake Roeseger again but this time to have a lesson with a member.  I was able to get better pictures this time.

We also had zone conference last week and it was ok and all until the last half hour. They showed us a video that just made me want to go home.  It was one of those videos where it was a bunch of missionaries that were like "Oh I missed home very much and it was so hard for me." The music in the video made it even worse, I literally cried but hid the emotion.  Glad that's over.

Tammy and Haley had to cancel this week because Haley was sick. Hopefully we can go back this week or next week.  Something else we did was doing a Bible study at Sus's.  Glenn was over there also.  It was a great time while talking about the creation of the earth especially all the animals.

                                                           Glenn

We had to go to Mukilteo for medical reasons. Its right next to the ocean and we couldn't help ourselves lol.  We just drove into a neighborhood that overlooks the pacific and it was a great sight to see.

Spiritual thought: Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." I love this scripture a lot. I know it's important to trust in the lord basically leaving the rest to him

Random thought: We saw a zebra. IN WASHINGTON!! What da heck?!
Love y'all
