Hello everyone!! Sorry its been way too long. I keep getting caught up in other stuff.
These past few week have been a lot of things happening. Its been so long I wont spill it all. Where to begin?
Well, first things first, I got transferred. I had to say goodbye to Machias and it was a very sad day. Saying goodbye to the Jones family in the Machias ward was very hard for me. They've been my family in that area and I am forever grateful for their love. Then I said goodbye to Kristina, Sus, Glenn & Candy. All of those goodbyes were very hard especially Sus. I hope to get transferred back to Machias one day.
Speaking of which, my new comp, Elder Nevin and I whitewashed into an area called Penny Creek which he was there the first 3 transfers of his mission. So I do have hope I can go back to my first area. This new area is apparently one of the smallest biking areas in the mission.
Honestly I'm not a fan of being on bike but I'm grateful to be here during the summer and not winter. The apartment is so small which sucks. The members are sick though. We have a weekly lesson with a member named Thavee and he is from Laos. He's pretty legit.
The same week I get here 2 of our friends moved and I never really got to meet them. Dang! One of our friends just moved into a members house but stayed in our area. Her name is Giovanna and she is from Peru. I truly believe she will get baptized. She has so many questions that are very good. She's asked us like "How do you pray?" "How did the church start?"
This past week, some sisters in our district put someone in our area on date and Elder Niven and I got to meet her. Her name is Dawn and she is very spiritual. With her, everything we teach clicks. She is so excited for her baptism.
Spiritual thought: Last Sunday I was supposed to speak but I forgot my phone which had my talk. So I instead bared my testimony on tender mercies. Keep this in mind, tender mercies are like little love letters from God. Apparently my testimony was able to shed some light on the speaker after me which she really needed. Being on the mission, I've witnessed, been them, and have received so many tender mercies. They are a sign God is looking out for you.
Random thought: I just realized my mission president and his wife, President and Sister Oakes, look like young Carl and Ellie from Up. I cant unsee it!!!!!! lol
Love y'all and have a great week. I promise to write you back if you did.
