We suprised Dawn and stopped for a visit when we drove through Everett.
Hello everyone! I'm back again with another email. I am going to confirm here and right now that I am the worst at sending out weekly emails.
Anyways, A LOT has happened. Oh where to begin? Christmas happened. It honestly wasn't as special as I thought it would be. We got a lot of junk food and still have some. Then 2 weeks later my birthday happened. 21!!!! I can go bar finding now lol.
My birthday was eventful. Elder Hutchins got the biggest migraine and we couldn't go out. So we stayed inside all day and called or texted everyone who has been in contact with the missionaries in the past. A convert named Tara, from Elder Hutchins first area drove down to drop off some late christmas stuff to him and I got surprised and she had some stuff for my birthday! I was very surprised. Even better, I got to meet her because she is talked about a lot from Elder Hutchins and some other missionaries. So I've always wanted to meet her. I then went on exchanges with one of the zls and they bought me some Five Guys since that is my favorite place to eat out. Then to top it all off I got surprised with a coldstone ice cream cake from my mom. We had the district over at our apartment and played card games while having some good cake.
Now onto the missionary stuff. We made 3 new friends. Luciano, Ollie, and David. We gave Ollie a blessing because she was having a panic attack because of her anxiety. After the blessing she literally was ok and stopped shaking. Then we go back the next week and she straight up drops us. RIP. Luciano is an absolute homie. He loves having us over but when in conversation about the gospel he states his beliefs and low key ends up confusing himself. Then theres David, not much on him he just wanted us to come back after Christmas.
One last thing. This one is one to remember for sure. So we get a referral from some lady requesting a visit from us. And because so many people are bad at returning texts and calls we went over to her house.... We pull up and she is outside and sees us. She then goes inside and we knock her door and we are there for 5 minutes. So we leave a card with our number and left. She later called us and tells us to never come back. She also low keyed threatened us. Sheeeesh.
Random thought: My sister sent me some fart spray. Gotta use it wisely hehehehehehehehehehe
Spiritual thought: "And it came to pass that when they came up to the temple, they pitched their tents roundabout, every man according to his family, consisting of his wife, and his sons, and his daughters, and their sons, and their daughters, from the eldest down to the youngest, every family being separate one from another.
And they pitched their tents round about the temple, every man having his tent with the door thereof towards the temple, that thereby they might remain in their tents and hear the words which king Benjamin should speak unto them;" When I read this scripture I think of how, like the tents, we should turn our lives towards the temple. There are multiple ways we can do this. One thing I like is that we should always strive to be worth to have a temple recommend.
