Hello everyone! Another week another day in the missionary life.
2 weeks ago we had a baptism!! Dawn (aka sister champion) was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm so happy for her as she starts on the covenant path. When we met Dawn, we knew she was ready to get baptized. Elder Niven and I, and the sister missionaries that taught her, we call her grandma (figuratively) lol.
Elder Niven and I were tracting one day and we stumbled across a member family who we had no idea lived there. They are less active and were baptized 6 years ago. They are from the Marshall Islands. They also have an 8 year old daughter who is not baptized and they are wanting to have her baptized but also to come back to church. One thing they were interested in was family history. The ward family history consultant lives in their apartment complex so we plan on getting him involved and introduce them sometime.
Lately we've been doing lots of service for Giovanna. She has lots of clothes that we moved from 2 storage units and a 3rd which is in progress, into her small house. I honestly don't know if it will all fit. She told us she is also interested in taking lessons from us so thats a big step.
Spiritual thought: John 3:16-17: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
I like to look at this scripture and know that because God sent Jesus Christ to atone for our sins, afflictions, sorrows, and pains, this shows how much our father in heaven loves us.
Random thought: lately I've been craving strawberry and raspberry minute maid lemonade. Mmmmmm
Love yall and have a great week!
P.S. I finally got my magnetic name tags After 3 weeks of waiting
P.S.S.
I also forgot.... Last week I got to have lunch with some good, long time family friends, the Norby's. They were passing through Washington on their family vacation and stopped to see me in Everett. SO good to see them!
